Ofcourse, as mentioned before, the gameplay deals with citybuilding as the #1 aspect of it. The Gameplay in Pharaoh is quite intriguing for the time period.
I dare not spoil the game for your, so I shall leave it there. This adds a challenge even to the most experienced members of Pharaoh, yet also gives newbie players a chance to enjoy the game as well. There are 5 game modes: Very Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard, Very Hard. This isn't a game you can complete in a day. The Second Intermediate Period (1,640-1,570 BC)
The First Intermediate Period (2,160-2,040 BC) The Pre-Dynastic Period (prior to 3,100 BC) Your objective is to complete the main campaign staged in 5 periods Your power and influence, though helped by campaign storymode, increase as the game progresses. And the top 3 ranks are Chancellor, Vizier, and ofcourse, Pharaoh. The First few being Village Elder, Village Noble, Royal Scholar. There are about 15 ranks in Pharaoh to achieve. Progressing through the years gradually in game. Village Elder does not carry a salary, but the following rank, Village Noble, carries a 2 deben(the form of currency in Pharaoh) per month salary. This is drawn from city funds and put into your own personal treasury. Slowly as you progress up the ranks, your monthly salary increases. Though you virtually have no power in this rank, it's a good start to the top. In campaign mode, the first rank you achieve is Village Elder. You assend through the ranks gradually as the game progresses along. You begin in Pharaoh with virtually no rank in the game at all. Pharaoh is a really time-consuming game, but it is quite enjoyable. Pharaoh is one of those revolutionary early city-building games that we all come to love.
